Again, I have the hand-written notes still, but they go on much the same way as these posted. I'm feeling pretty much done with this.

One reason I felt like pointing out even little detailing mistakes was because sometimes those very details would be done correctly, and sometimes not. Like Wildfire's star. For every time it'd be done wrong, it'd be done right too. It wasn't consistently done right or wrong, and that's my point. How could the colorist fill in Phantom Girl's barrettes blue in one panel, but in the next panel leave them white? Same with Light Lass' stripes. Same with Saturn Girl's Saturn symbol, and so on. Major mistakes like giving Lightning Lad a green face and Colossal Boy red legs and Cosmic Boy pink skin and not coloring half of Tyroc pepper the edition, too. The combination of all this just got right up under my skin, so I made this a little public project.

I feel like my information has given other prospective consumers something to consider, already. It seems like some are less interested in the book, and some still are. Great. Editorial seems to know that this type of quality doesn't sit well with the fans. Hopefully, that will translate into better future editions. Personally, I got it all out of my system! I'll still pop in sometimes to check on this thread, but mostly I'll be found at the Legion board.
Take care!

The biggest mistakes in my mind were these three:

1) Ultra Boy. It was just consistently wrong through most of what I've read so far. Just a bad mistake. Like accidentally coloring Superman's S blue.

2) The table of contents. At first I thought they had printed things out of order.

3) One page was slightly off register. Just enough so that reading it made my eye water. I kept thinking I was having a migraine because the edges of people and the words were out of focus. This one makes that page practically unreadable for me.

The minor stuff, while prevalent enough to warrant a discussion with the colorist about consistency and standards, is not that horrible. IMNSHO.

Ah, back to the topic.

I'm for including all the KK issues, "all or none", and since no. 1 got in there, it makes sense to do them all. Also extends the Archive series.

cheers
K.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! (Runs away screaming, hands over ears, trying desperately to hang on to what passes for sanity since we stopped arguing the pros and cons of KK in the Archives.)

I wonder what's going on over in the GL boards...
