Well 12 hours have passed and there doesn't seem to be any uproar about CaptainSwift's SA Teen Titans scoop....

I am not familiar with the Ingram Book Catalog, but is there any concern that this is NOT legitimate?

Seems to make PERFECT sense with the launch of the TV series.....

Ingram is a large independent book distributor.
Most of the larger publishers handle their own distribution for the most part, but there are always book shops that don't have direct accounts with these companies. Also, there are a lot of small publishers that don't really have the resources to do their own distribution. So there are a few distributors that just wholesale books--from pretty much all publishers to pretty much any shop. Ingram and Baker & Taylor are probably the two largest of these.

Well, that is interesting news.

Not to be too cynical, but can anybody confirm that listing? The scoop was posted on April 1....

If true, I like it. More than the idea of a NEW TEEN TITANS archive, frankly.

And am I the only one who thinks GA HAWKMAN #1 is more likely than SA HAWKMAN #2?

Just to finish my thought, SA HAWKMAN came out before the new character was established to be Carter Hall.

Since Katar is dead and gone, and Carter is running around in the pages of his own book again, I would expect the next HAWKMAN archive to feature Carter's exploits.

I think both series will continue. The "Justice League Archives" are about to hit the satellite era, and Thanagarian technology was important there. Someone who reads "Justice League Archives" and wants to read more of the members will need more SA Hawkman.

On the other hand, it's been almost 3 years since the first Hawkman Archive, and still no follow-up.

I wouldn't mind a SA Teen Titans Archive. In fact I'd be happy to have it. I'm sure it'll be tough getting through some of the dialouge (and people compain about Golden Age comics... sheesh!), but it'd be nice to have.

I don't, as of yet, have Hawkman vol 1. I understand wanting a second volume. It looks like good stuff. On the other hand, I'm a huge GA fan, so if we saw a GA Hawkman Archive first, you would't hear any complaints from me.

I work at Media Play, a multi-media store that deals in CDs and DVDs, with a minor interest in books. The Ingram catalog we use is a datafile that we subscribe to, unfortunately not a web-site I can link.

However, I order my Archives at work, so as to get my 40% discount. Challengers of the Unknown is listed at 39.95 ($10 below the other volumes), then Batman: Dark Knight Archives, and Silver Age Titans. I feel pretty confident this is accurate information (the only problem I've had with Ingram data is that Aquaman Archives didn't show up for a month after the book was released).

Any months associated with those volumes? We have been speculating that July will give us 2 DCU Archives.

The Challengers Archives I mentioned was listed directly after the Superman Archives solicited in this month's Previews. Batman: Dark Knight the month after, and Titans after that. There was a Spirit in there somewhere. I might point out, that while I feel the titles are probably right, there might be problems with the dates, titles not mentioned (Aquaman, see above), and the Challengers' lower price.

Frankly, I was surprised. This was the first time I'd seen a DC book on Ingram before it was solicited by Diamond.

I've confirmed the TT archive with Bob G. It will begin with the B&B and Showcase issues and the beginning of its own title.

There will be a new cover by Nick Cardy.

It's already been announced that Challengers will be a slimmer volume than the others (to complete the Kirby issues in two volumes, IIRC), and will accordingly be available at a lower price.

CaptainSwift ... cracking the code .... Good job, my friend!

My re-interpretation of the next chunk of the 2003 schedule is now:

Challengers July 2nd
Elfquest July 16th
Dark Knight 4 July 30th
Spirit 11 August 13th
SA Teen Titans August 27th
All-Star 9 sometime in September

This is based on some of the known minutae that we have learned. Challengers 1 originally being announced as 2Q (off by 2 days). Elfquest 1 being available for the San Diego ComicCon. SA Teen Titans being in book stores in September, means it will be in comic shops in August. All-Star 9 being a fall release (from Bob G.)

I will refrain from patting myself on the back for my recent call on Dark Knight 4 over Batman 6 -- based on the fact that the DK material is older than the 'Tec stories slated to be in Batman 6.

Heck, I'm just amazed I scooped everybody on this. Usually, I find something out, come to the boards, and there's already nine discussions about it.

My previous list is looking good...observe:
From page 5:
Since they pulled the rug on Supergirl-the comic, and theoretically have been getting a lot of Kara Supergirl fan's peeved in the past few months....I'll say Supergirl 2 will be out this year to appease that fanbase...IMO.
Challengers will be out soon, as will superman....All-Star is probably a given...

A GA Batman volume is due....

I'll say...
Legion
JLA
Superman
Challengers
Dark Knight
All Star
SA Hawkman
Supergirl
Shazam 4 (don't forget the new Smith mini)
SA Teen Titans
GA Green Lantern
Batgirl is an interesting choice..I like it...

I might be over by 1 volume if so then we may get Shazam in Jan or Feb to coincide with the new shazam mini..whenever it's due...

"And am I the only one who thinks GA HAWKMAN #1 is more likely than SA HAWKMAN #2?"

No, I'm thinking along the same lines. I feel that the GA Hawkman material by Moldoff and Kubert is so strong and appealing that it warrants a 1-to-1 volume rotation with the SA Hawkman -- unlike Flash and Green Lantern where I believe the market demand is skewed more heavily to the Silver Age versions.

Lots of information in the last few days.
We now know the order of publication (if not the actual schedule) through August, comprising 9 of the year's 14 DCU Archives, and we also know that All-Star 9 and Atom 4 will definitely appear this year.
Assuming that we'll still be getting Plastic Man 5, that leaves the mystery Golden Age #1 and the unnamed eighth Silver Age volume.

Of the many candidates floated as possibilities for the Golden Age slot, Superboy is actually the one I'm least eager to see. My preference would be either GA Hawkman or the Golden Age compilation (All-Star 1-2/Big All-American) that we keep theorizing about, but I'd also be delighted with Doctor Fate, Sandman, Green Arrow, Seven Soldiers or Comic Cavalcade. And I'd be even happier if DC had decided to take a real risk and try out a more obscure 1940s feature, but I think the terms in which it was first described to us preclude that.

I'm still hoping the final Silver Age volume is World's Finest 3.

I'm fervently hoping the final Silver Age archive for this year will be Superman.

I think you're right on about the Elfquest book being out by the San Diego Comic Con - which is July 17th through 20th. Elfquest's anniversary is one of this year's big themes. It would do DC great business to have it out by then. The Pinis are on the special guest list too for the Con.

My guess is that the mystery Golden Age archive will be Comics Calvacade, featuring WW, GL, Flash, and maybe the other features as well.
