So I read the Adventures books instead. Frank Miller said that "Mad Love", a Batman Adventures story, was "the best Batman story in a decade." He was right. The Batman Adventures series have always been criminally underrated by fans who don't have any idea what they're missing out on. And, frankly, they're much more worthy of Archiving, judging by sheer quality, than pretty much any of the Batman stuff we've gotten in Archives yet.

With any comic character that is run by a corporation rather than a creator there are going to be points that just don't ring true. Just as some people's Green Lantern would have never gone crazy, or Superman would have never killed as he did in the Byrne run, my Batman would have never allowed himself to get so run-down that Bane could have broken his back. Also, my Aunt May is dead, as is Jean Grey/Phoenix and Bullseye. In addition, Han shot first and Projectra is a woman, not a snake, and Conan wouldn't have been chained to a wheel for years. Just be your own editor.

I'd have to agree w/you that Batman Adventures has been the best Batman book since it started. However I loved No Man's Land and just ignored the parts that I disliked (anything to do w/Bane, Mute-girl and AZreal.)
