I'd love to see GA Sandman off to a flying start and soon followed up by the Kirby stories, but i am a fan of all eras of Wes.

I wouldn't complain if GA Hawkman was the next tho.

My reasons for choosing these two are that i conciously hold myself back from thinking too deeply about anything thats not logically going to happen anytime soon like a lot of the Quality line and non Marvel Fawcetts.

For the SA, i'll use slightly different criteria - As i am confident that the long awaited Adam Strange is just around the corner, i'll vote for that Brave & the Bold 1-24.

GA Sandman.

If I had other choices:
Scribbly/Red Tomato, Dr. Fate, Hourman, Hawkman, Johnny Thunder(NOT the western one!), Wildcat, among many others.

I'm happy with the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents volumes but a Kirby Fourth World would be kinda cool. Thing is, since the recent B&W reprintings I doubt we will be seeing a color one.

Hello,

I gotta agree that A Supes SA is very apetizing... YET, the greatest golden age stories was a very amazing volume that I love... Maybe a second one like that would be fun... I wish they'd make it into a monthly book "Greatest stories from..."...

It's a little hard to say, because there are a number of archives I want, and pretty badly. But, I'd probably opt for an Adam Strange Archive, followed by Sea Devils, and some kind of Simon and Kirby or Fourth World Archives. And even more than that.

My 'most wanted' archive generally changes from day to day. It's usually bouncing around between "Strange Adventures," "Marvel Family" and "Big Town," though.

It seems like most people who answer assume the question goes to which new series you'd most like to see started. At least, that's what I'd assume, given how many #1 volumes have appeared in responses. If the question goes that way, my answer would be Phantom Stranger #1.

But if the question goes to which favorite Archive you want to see, period, including continuing volumes of new titles, there's a lot I'd like to see before Phantom Stranger. What I REALLY want to see from the Archives is progress made in getting some of the best features finished. #1 volumes generally aren't as attractive to me, because that material is easier to come by (either it's already been reprinted, or is more likely to be in the future as the first appearance of a character or characters). What's always been much harder to accomplish, and what the Archives may actually do someday, is get us a complete run of, say, GA Superman. That's the harder long-term goal I'd rather see accomplished. I don't even care much which character(s) we see continued; I'd be equally happy with complete GA Superman or GA Batman or Wonder Woman or anything else. If I have to prioritize existing series, I'd favor titles which have shorter runs and are closer to being completed, so I'd give the nod to Starman #2, which we've been awaiting for a long time and would finish that series. Then maybe something like Doom Patrol #2, as that's another short series, or Enemy Ace #2. As short series get finished, I'd then rather see continuing volumes that have been waiting way too long for their turn, such as GA Flash #2.

Seven Soldiers of Victory!

I love teambooks--I get all the All-Star, Justice League, and Legion archives, as well as the numbers 1s of New Teen Titans, Doom Patrol, and Thunder Agents. (And Masterworks of Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men.) I would love to see the Seven Soldiers archived--they are so historically important as the second super-hero team in comics. Just to compare these guys to the JSA in story-telling--plots, character interaction, etc.

Guardian/Newsboy Legion

Followed by (in no particular order) GA Sandman (starting at the beginning), Phantom Stranger, SA Spectre, More Doom Patrol, Adam Strange, The Creeper, Metal Men, Rip Hunter, Sea Devils, Rex The Wonder Dog and, of course, Detective Chimp.

Got a feeling I've missed out something obvious there. No doubt it'll come to me after I send this.

Dang, this is tough. So many more I'd like to see continued, but it looks like this is a thread for "... most wanted volume ones".

In that case... ooh, still a toss-up. Since I haven't read virtually ANY of the stories reprinted in the Archives books, it really has to be something I'd want to read... not just recollect in a nicer format.

For me, the Silver Age is in the ballpark.
But is it first base with SA Green Arrow?
Or second base with Seven Soldiers of Victory?
A slide to third w/ some Adam Strange?
Or a homerun with J'onn J'onnz first appearances?

And is Metamorpho batting a thousand, or stuck in the dugout next to Cave Carson and the Sea Devils?

Nope, I can't answer. There're just too damn many I want to read.

Matt

Of continuations, the ones I'm most eager to see (apart from things we know to be definitely scheduled), would be second volumes of GA Flash, Blackhawk, and Starman, Enemy Ace, a third volume of World's Finest (which I expect to be the best of that series), and Flash vol.4.

Well I have to eliminate from contention all series that are immediate continuations of ongoing archives, and I have to eliminate all series that would reprint work that I already have either in the original or in reprints (that let's out Elongated Man).

This greatly reduces the possibilities.

I think it comes down to a choice between three: Lois Lane, Robotman, or Scribbly.

A tough choice but I'm gonna have to go with the commercial favourite and pick Superman's Girlfriend, Lois Lane, as my # 1 most wanted. I do have some LL reprints, but given the length of her run, I'm guessing those reprints are a mere sample and not a significant portion.

Robin in Star-Spangled.

Followed by GA Sandman and the Seven Soldiers in second and third. Fourth and fifth: Dr. Fate and GA Green Arrow [or maybe Vigilante]

I'm always torn between Detective Chimp, SA Superman Curt Swan era,and Phantom Stranger, SA Spectre or Martian Manhunter. As someone else said, it probably changes weekly. But with a gun to my head it would be Detective Chimp of course...this week.

Most wanted continuations: Doom Patrol, SA Flash, Enemy Ace

I'm torn between Adam Strange or Sugar & Spike. I've got bout the same amount of both in originals and reprints.

Adam Strange. If I can only pick one.

It's hard for me to have a strong desire for anything that I know is coming, regardless of whether or not it is officially scheduled (I consider Hawkman, Dr. Fate, and Sandman to be givens). It's also hard for me to get really excited about anything that I think DC isn't going to do anytime soon, no matter what I want.

I suppose All-Star 9 is the 1 volume I want most. Whatever the next volume of the Spirit is probably next. Like many others have said, the order of the runners-up changes daily.

However, among series that aren't givens, The Brave and the Bold is definitely at the top of my list, followed by The Brave and the Bold 2 and The Brave and the Bold 3.

Shazam! V4

Followed by all the rest of the Marvel Family...

From my perspective, I feel that we have quite enough orphaned Vol #1s and we need to put some depth in the existing lines. Nothing against GA Sandman, Dr. Fate, S&S, etc. but they should not interrupt work already started.
