Also, where do you get the 264 pages from? I thought that it had to be a multiple of 16.

Some volumes -- those with 216 and 228 pages -- use 12-page signatures.

I seem to recall the GCD being wrong on that issue when I looked at my Superman Family run a few months ago. I'll check again this weekend to verify.

Pulled out issue #195 last night. There is indeed a Mr. & Mrs. Superman story. "Lois Lane's Super-Risk", 8 pages, by Cary Bates, Kurt Schaffenberger, and Dan Adkins. (Lois shuts down a Superman robot by taking two fingers and sticking them in its ears. I kid you not.)

Thanks, Outpost. The GCD erroneously lists it as a Lois Lane story. I've just updated the Mr. and Mrs. Superman map.

Yup... that's the first story in SUPERMAN FAMILY after the shift from SUPERMAN. It should have appeared in #331 (or #332 considering #330 was a booklengther).

I really think there is a better shot at TPB or at least a 100-page "replica edition." Definitely worth pitching to Bob Greenberger if he returns to the boards.

It was certainly not a Golden Age design. It did pop up in a couple of other places though, including World's Finest #271 in which we see it worn by the 40's and the contemporary Earth-2 Superman.

When I was younger, I *hated* the 6-sided design. It was so ahistorical and just didn't seem like a "real" Superman logo. Now, looking back on it, I have changed my mind completely, and rather like the idea that the Earth-2 Superman may have owned, you know, more than one shirt!
